STOCKTON, CA- We went to the Wat Dhammararam Buddhist Temple to celebrate Cambodian New Years, which began on April 14th and ended on April 16th. The Wat Dhammararam Buddhist Temple in STOCKON, CA is one of the biggest temple and most popular in North America.

Today, we are going to do a little bit of bboy/breakdancing around some of the Cambodian temple scenery. But, more importantly, we are more looking forward to experiencing some of Cambodian’s popular street food!
For us, we are excited to try out the famous Cambodian style beef kabob. There are many ways to season and marinate Cambodian style beef kabob. The most common ingredients are fish sauce, canola oil, granulated sugar, honey, sweet paprika, garlic cloves, lemongrass stalks, lime leaves, ground turmeric, beef chuck, and 12 inch bamboo skewers.

The next food we’re going to try is Cambodian Pounded Papaya Salade. Cambodian Pounded Papaya Salade is a spicy salad made from shredded upripe papaya. Common ingredients are chilli pepper, dried shrimp, fish sauce, garlic, hog plums, lime, palm sugar and tomatoes.

Next up is Cambodian style stuffed chicken wings. This is our favorite food to get during Cambodian new years. You will not regret it! Common ingredients are wingtips chicken wings, ground pork, garlic cloves, onion, mung bean thread noodles, wood ear mushroom, black pepper, sugar, salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce and fish sauce.
